A couple of pics from Christmas

Here are a couple of pics that we've taken recently. The top is my stepsis Emily, me Adam and Allie, my brother James, and my mom. Mom had a post Christmas party at her house. The bottom was taken at our Christmas Eve party after Allie had changed into some of her pjs. We learned over the holidays that Allie LOVES to be the center of attention. I'll try to get some videos of her running around showing off that she can walk/run/tumble =)

We went to Nanny Gwen's the other day here's Allie looking at the tree. She is making a fishy face in her picture with me. Magen and Nanny were trying to get her to laugh and were making kissy faces and fishy faces. Allie's Maw Maw is the ultimate fishy face teacher, so she knew what they were doing and mimicked them. The middle pic is her with Mae Mae and the bottom is Allie with her Nan!

I was SO worried that Allie would pitch a fit. She didn't, instead she just looks a little shocked. She wouldn't look at Santa, he tried to talk to her, but she wasn't having it!! Hopefully he read her mind and knows what she wants for Christmas this year!

James' Graduation

My sweet baby brother finally graduated from college Saturday! We are so proud! Here are a couple of pics from the big day! Sorry they're so small, they saved strangely and I didn't fix them!!

Allie's elephant (see below) has truly inspired her to walk. She'll do whatever it takes to get to her new little friend (who is a little bigger than her). Here is a quick video of her taking a few steps to get to the elephant. She also gives him kisses towards the end of the video. She is so sweet!!

Everyone who has seen Allie lately knows that she LOVES doing the elephant. So the other day while shopping I happened upon a big fun elephant for her to play with. It's a Christmas present, but since she doesn't know when Christmas is we gave it to her Friday. It is her FAVORITE!! We named him Sprouts....isn't he cute?

Snow Baby

Well this is pretty late in the snow day we had last Thursday morning. I hated to wake her up!! But here is what was left at about 8 a.m. Adam was snowed in at the Houston airport, so he saw plenty of snow there, but it was all melted by the time he made it back home! I guess in the next couple of years we'll have to take a winter vacation to somewhere snowy!!

We went to see Amanda's new baby Owen last week. Here are Allie and Noah (Owen's big brother) playing with his camera. He was SO good with her. Isn't he so cute? Today is his birthday party and I'm so sad we aren't going to be able to make it back to Baton Rouge =( Hope you have a great time Noah!!

Brandon (my stepbrother) and his family came in for Thanksgiving and we went and had Christmas pictures taken with Allie, Graham (younger brother) and Reed. Aren't they sweet? Allie was running 101 fever at that point, so her cheeks look a little rosy =)

I eventually remembered that I had to turn the camera the other way for videos! Here is Allie walking with her baby's stroller. She is getting so good. We used to have to turn the stroller for her, now she just picks it up and turns it herself. She will be walking soon I think!!

Well Allie's other Auntie Em's birthday was yesterday and Justin's was on Saturday! Hope you both had great days!! (So sorry no pics, Allie has her FIRST ear infection so I'm in need of some sleep so no time for that) Lots of love!

Happy Birthday Auntie Em!

Today is Allie's only BLONDE aunt's birthday. We just met her in Atlanta last weekend and cannot wait to see her again for Thanksgiving. Allie had TONS of fun hanging out with Em and giving her lots of kisses. Her favorite part of the weekend though was waking her up at 6:30 in the morning so they could go down and have breakfast!! Have a great day!!

Our road trip!!

We took a road trip last weekend to visit Mike in Atlanta, GA. Allie was a sweet angel the whole way there and back! She is going to be a little traveler! YAY!! James was a great uncle and entertained her quite a bit.

Knock Knock

Allie did much better on Halloween than the day we tried her costume on! She was loving being a kitty. We went trick or treating next door and went to visit Honey and then Grammy at Maplewood FBC. She had a great time, and we were all happy that it was relatively cool!

Allie's Maw Maw Karen gave her a brand new rocking chair. Allie is still getting used to it, it's a little taller than the other one she plays on but I'm sure she will be climbing to the top of it in no time. Isn't she so cute?

This was Miss Allie's first experience with CAKE! It took a few minutes, but after we all gave up and stopped taking pictures she REALLY got into it. (Mommy had to come in and cut a few chunks) She was loving it! She also shared some of the cake with others. She is so sweet and I cannot believe she will be ONE this week!!

Today we had Allie's very first birthday party at McMurry Park right down the road from our house. We had a BIG turnout, most of our families and a few friends. Allie had a blast (after the initial getting used to so many people)!! All of her girl cousins helped with the unwrapping of presents. We had a FABULOUS TIME!! Thanks everyone for coming and for all of her new fun toys & clothes.

Allie is obsessed with putting things inside boxes and baskets. Well the other day she was playing with her clothes hamper and Adam put her in it. She was SO excited here are a few pics.

Allie lately

This is Allie, I didn't get the picture while she was all the way in the clothes basket, but she made it all the way in and was standing proud inside the basket.

Allie has discovered headbands. She will NOT let me put any on her, but give her one of mine and she'll play all day!!

I am still cutting her bananas up when I feed her. However, the other day I was going too slow, so I just handed her part of the banana and boy did she eat it quick (and thankfully without choking)

Allie has been LOVING getting under things. ALL tables and she's been working on getting into this cabinet and last night she achieved her goal. Adam and I were cracking up. Here are a few pics of her in the cabinet. She is so funny!!!
