Fifth Disease

My sweet little girl is looking MUCH better now, but here are just a couple of the pictures mom took of her on day two (Tuesday) of the breakout. This was the first day I saw her, (because I was sick) but Adam said the first day was much worse. Not sure if you can tell by the pics, but her arms and legs are both pretty red. She just gets itchy every 4-6 hours as the benadryl wears off. Other than that and her pointing to the red spots every so often, she is acting perfectly fine. There are mostly just dots now instead of the big blotches and her face is mostly clear.

Allie's FIRST haircut

Allie REALLY didn't NEED a haircut. If she is not in a dress or pink and sometimes even when she is people think she is a boy (granted a darn cute boy) because she has a perfect boys haircut. HOWEVER, she was beginning to get a little duck/rat tail and I had Shannon cut it when I got my haircut last Friday. I didn't post sooner because we've both been sick. I'm not sure what was wrong with me, but while I was sick Allie broke out in a lovely rash that we've since decided is Fifth Disease. Poor Angel, she is itching like crazy. I'll post those pics soon, my mom has those.

Visit to the zoo

Adam, Allie and I went to visit Aunt Tara & Uncle Dustin this weekend. Allie came home with a new favorite cousin. His name is DUKE (Tara and Dustin's dog)!! That's all she said when she came home for two days! We had a great time and Tara & I took Allie to the zoo, while her daddy and uncle went to play golf. Snow Sled at Aunt Tara and Uncle Dustin's

Tara and Dustin had a snow sled that we found a great non-snow use for over the weekend. Adam started pulling Allie around on it and she thought she was in HEAVEN! She was so excited! You should have seen her fly!! When they were all through playing Tara had grass stains and Allie had grass all in her diaper, but my oh my did they have fun!!

Independence

Allie is becoming increasingly independent. You can tell her to do things and she'll go do them by herself now. This morning Allie got out of bed (she gets into our bed anytime she wakes up after 5) all by herself without my help. And before I'd put my glasses on she'd made it to the door and was trying to open it. She is growing up SO fast!

Getting Ready for Mardi Gras

Adam and I went to a Mardi Gras ball last Saturday night. Allie wanted us to hold her while we were taking pictures, so here she is in her beads. I'm not so sure she liked them.

Allie has ALWAYS had a shoe obsession. She puts my shoes on and walks around the house (quite well too). The other night I was getting ready and looked over and she had put both of Adam's shoes on and was trying to walk in them. They look like little baby skis on her feet.

Allie & her Shadow

Allie has recently discovered her shadow. Everytime we go outside she chases it and waves to it! She is our own little Peter Pan! Here are a few pictures of her playing with her shadow =)
