Pumpkin Patch

We went with a few friends and Nanny Gwen to the Pumpkin Patch in Moss Bluff yesterday. Allie and I had a great time and she had a lot of fun running around looking at the all of the pumpkins! Here are a few pictures...

Allie's 2nd Birthday Party

We had Allie's birthday party on Sunday. It was perfect weather and Allie had a great turn out. She was a little nervous with everyone paying so much attention to her. Right before we ate cake she told Adam "People" and shook her head then said "Home, Home" She warmed up a little after that though when she got to go play at the playground. She loves ALL of her presents. Thanks everyone for making her day special!!

Sweet little birthday girl! She was a little shy and didn't love all of the attention...

Oklahoma Trip

Mom and I went to Oklahoma at the beginning of September to visit some of our friends that moved away. My friend Erica has a little girl Lexi who is about 4 months younger than Allie. The girls had a great time playing together and their mom's and grandma's had fun catching up! We took the girls to the park and zoo and they also went swimming. Here are a few pics from our time there.

First Day of Mother's Day Out

Today was Allie's first day at MDO. She was quite unhappy to see me go, which made me sad, but she ended up having a great time. She made new friends and when I picked her up and asked if she wanted to come back she said YES!! SO yay! I'm so happy that she had a great time, and she seemed to be in a GREAT mood when we got home! She can't wait to go back and see the "kids."

Walking out the door

Ready to go!

Amazed by her lunch box (which I think is SO cute!!)

Allie's Last Swimming Lesson

Allie's last swimming lesson for the summer was yesterday. My dad and Adam came to watch. Allie was not in her best swimming mode, but she still did pretty good! (She's cutting her last molars) Here is a quick video that Adam took of us.

Getting Acquainted Day

This is as close to a good smile as I could get from her! She's so sweet!

This is her making muscles...hee hee

Yesterday Allie and I went to her school to meet her teachers. I had to wake her up from a nap to meet them and she was VERY shy. The teacher tried bribing her with Animal crackers, but she still was not sure about her new school. She really didn't warm up to them until the end, when she took her sunglasses off for about a minute. I felt like I was in that Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy, because Allie wouldn't take her sunglasses off the whole time we were there. Her teachers were super nice and I think that she'll be just fine!!

Dancing Allie

One day I was watching TV and flipping through the channels and Sister Act was on and the nuns were singing. As soon as the song was over, Allie says more more. So I pushed rewind and we watched it....again and again and again. I recorded it and we now watch (songs only) Sister Act several times a day while Allie dances. It's pretty funny here is a sneak peek. She kind of stops after she realizes I'm recording her.

Allie spraying her Daddy!

Adam and Allie were in the pool the other day while I was cooking dinner. I looked outside and saw them and thought I have to get this on video! Watch how excited she gets when she sprays him. Also sorry that it looks like I dropped the camera for a minute, the water was spraying right at me!!

A quick Happy Birthday Post!

Today is my Dad's birthday. So I would like to tell him HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Allie says "Happy" (She can say this because "If you're happy and you know it" is one of her favorite songs!) Also it's my cousins Katie and Davin's 4th birthday !! So hope everyone had a great day! Love ya!

Houston Trip!

My computer is acting crazy, and I got a new camera (old one broke) so I'm having a few technical difficulties. So here is a post of our recent trip to Houston for Katie's 4th birthday. We had a great time visiting and went to the park and the children's museum. Will post more when I figure out this camera!!

Hopefully...........this will post

Our computer has had some kind of a virus, so I've been unable to post for quite some time. We all got terrible colds at the end of May/beginning of June. Then our computer got sick. I'm actually blogging from a laptop we had that hasn 't been turned on in two years!! However, I thought I'd give everyone a quick update on what's been going on.

Allie's Aunt Tara came in for a visit at the beginning of the month, and she helped Grammy watch Allie while I was sick! Allie had a wonderful time playing with her!

We are still in swimming lessons, and Allie is really doing quite well. As long as she got a good nap in first!

We had a super Father's Day and visited with Allie's Pop and Poppy, I think we could've dropped her off at their houses, and they wouldn't have missed Adam or me!

However, our most exciting news is that Allie has started potty training. She is doing SUPER!! We had 2 accident free days and a couple with only one accident. She loves her panties and pull ups and has actually cried when I tried to put a diaper on her. I have to bribe her with the whole look Elmo is on your diaper. (Part of the next what's going on)

Allie has discovered TV. She has never paid any attention at all to TV and the other day I caught her kind of watching so I put it on the Sprout channel and it had Sesame Street on. The little Elmo's world song came on and Allie whips out her paci and looks at me and says (with perfect clarity I might add) ELMO?? And I say you can say ELMO!!?!?!?!?! Who knew? She is really starting to understand what is going on around her and repeat what is said around her even if its not to her!

This weekend we had another fun visitor Allie's aunt "Emmy" Emily came in from Nashville and we went to her mom's and went swimming and Allie had a great time. We also got to see Emmy off at the airport (everytime Allie has seen a plane since Easter she says Emmy). So I think she was excited to see a plane pretty up close and personal!!

Sorry no pics and just a books worth of Allie info, but I'm going to have to figure out how to download pics to this poor old computer!! Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

We had a busy day yesterday and I forgot to give Adam a Happy Birthday blog! Allie drew on his card first thing, then we all had lunch together. We also went to Emily F.'s graduation last night and we went out to eat after, at Casa Manana. Nancy and Dad secretly told the waitress that it was Adam's birthday and they sang to him. It was great fun! (At least I thought so)

This picture is from the other day, Adam was eating the last of a chocolate Easter bunny, and Allie was following it all the way to his mouth. It was very cute!!

Allie's new car

So many posts in one day, I'm glad Allie's taking a long nap!! I have been wanting to get Allie this car for a couple of months. She is having a great time with it here are a few pictures of us putting it together..........and her playing with it.
The body of the car came basically already together. Allie picked up the steering wheel after we'd poured the parts everywhere and stuck it in the car where it belonged. She must be taking after Adam and his dad and like to put things together!!

Pop got the car together well enough for her to ride in it 'til her Daddy could finish it.

Riding in the car
The finished product...... she LOVES this car!!

Allie's so much fun!

I have so much to put in because I haven't blogged in way too long...................

Allie took all of her toys in this basket out, then she sat and pointed at her animals (like she wanted them in there too). She stayed in this basket for a very long time.
Allie's tent...

I walked into the kitchen and got a sip of water. When I came back in this is what I saw. Allie has been climbing A LOT lately, but her getting on the coffee table was a first......she is getting so big!!

You'll hear me asking Allie to do these things, but she is making muscles and swimming in this video. It's quite humerous!

Aunt Tara's graduation

Last weekend we (Adam's parents, Allie & me) went to Tyler for Tara's graduation. She had a pinning ceremony on Thursday and graduation on Friday. We had a good time seeing Tara, Dustin and Duke (the dog) and meeting some of Tara's friends.

SWIM, SWIM,SWIMMING!!

Allie started swimming lessons the first week in May! She is doing so well. And to clarify, she is only wearing bottoms (swim diapers) because by the time we bought them and signed paperwork, we had to rush into the pool because class had started without us!! She has gone under several times and "swam" to me. We are having a blast! I'll post more swimming pics as we take them! These pictures are from our first lesson, she did not cry at all until it was time to go and I took her out of the pool!

Sliding to me, she now goes under when she slides off.

Allie's 1st weekend without me =)

Adam and I went on our first little getaway without Allie the first weekend in May. We went to Natchitoches and had a wonderful time.

Allie stayed with her Maw Maw Karen, and had her own fabulous time and never even noticed we were gone. They went and visited Maw Maw Hilda and went to the Farmer's Market and out to lunch. Here is a picture of her in her baby pool, she was practicing before her swimming lessons!

Posing in her nightgown...

Sunbathing in Maw Maw's chair, soon after this Mom decided she needed her own chair!
