Getting Ready for Mardi Gras

Adam and I went to a Mardi Gras ball last Saturday night. Allie wanted us to hold her while we were taking pictures, so here she is in her beads. I'm not so sure she liked them.

Allie in Daddy's Shoes

Allie has ALWAYS had a shoe obsession. She puts my shoes on and walks around the house (quite well too). The other night I was getting ready and looked over and she had put both of Adam's shoes on and was trying to walk in them. They look like little baby skis on her feet.

Allie & her Shadow

Allie has recently discovered her shadow. Everytime we go outside she chases it and waves to it! She is our own little Peter Pan! Here are a few pictures of her playing with her shadow =)

Why a (almost) 15 month old shouldn't be left alone

Allie has a little cold, so maybe that's why she has a fascination with Kleenex. However today when I wasn't looking, she pulled EVERY tissue out of the box!! She was quite proud of herself until she realized that I wasn't very happy with her. Oh well at least shecan find ways to entertain herself!

Allie's Performance

Allie has been using the "potty" since the first of the year. She is not anywhere NEAR being potty trained, but she usually uses her potty in the morning and at night. I just wanted to get her used to it. She thinks it is such fun and she loves to read and talk to me while she is sitting. Here is a video clip of her talking to me and telling me what is in her book. I'm also attaching a picture of her sitting. She is so funny!

Daddy's Girl

This little girl is IN love with her Daddy. In the morning we usually get up after he is at work, and this morning she was on a mission for him. We went back to my bedroom and she said "Da?" and I told her he was at work. So then we walked into my bathroom and she obviously had not given up hope and said Da again and walked all the way to my tub and looked for him in there too!! It was kinda sad. This is a pic we took on Christmas morning, I guess I don't have any pictures of them by themselves recently.....

Mommy's Little Helper

Yesterday I was trying to cook, and Allie didn't want to be on the floor. I put her on the cabinet and gave her a measuring cup and measuring spoon. She was stirring, and laughing and having a great time helping. She is SO much fun. She's doing new things everyday. She is talking up a storm and is so proud of herself when she says something new. Frog has been her latest word it sounds like she is saying raw. I'll have to take a video of her words.
