Short "E"

Our letter this week is "E".

Our "e" food was eggs. So we boiled eggs (for potato salad) and Allie got to eat one (and a half)! She was super excited to put the eggs in the pot, then to get to slice it with the egg slicer. We may do Eggo waffles one morning-check back to see what we are making for the long "e" sound later this week!!

For the short e sound our craft was an elephant. She pretended it was a mask for this picture-she was not in a picture taking mood!

I couldn't leave Lane out so here is a cute picture of him with Amy, and then another one of him (that's not his best picture, but sweet anyhow)

Big Sister/Little Brother

The other day I (not on purpose) put both kids in their sibling outfits. Here is a picture....Lane LOVES being held by his big sister (until she gets bored and he starts falling)

A picture of Lane on Allie's bed holding his head up like a big boy! Both of these pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago.

School Days

We've started working on our letters at home since Allie's not going to Mother's Day Out this year. Here is our project for the letter "D". It's a dove (we talked about Noah's Ark). I'll try to keep posting our projects each week.....

One more picture

Here is one more picture of Lane. I was disappointed we didn't get a smiling baby picture, but he was sleepy!!

Long time....

It's been months since I last posted. While pregnant for my sweet baby Lane, I was put on bedrest for about 10 weeks. I got up and surprise-no baby. I was induced on June 21, and had Lane around 11:30am. He weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. Allie is just so sweet with him and has for the most part accepted his being part of our family.

They are growing up so fast! Allie will be THREE at the end of next month, and Lane just turned 3 months yesterday. I took him to Pink & Blue Avenue today and weighed him and he was 16 lbs 4 oz!! He's my little chunky monkey. At three months Lane is laughing, rolling over from tummy to back and jabbering up a storm. He LOVES his big sister and his eyes follow her wherever she goes.

Here are a few pictures that I had taken at portrait innovations last week. The kids did great!

I'll try to post some other around the house pictures soon!

Oh Dear!

I have some pics I need to download, but have been quite busy...

However, I wanted to share a funny Allie story before I forget to post it.

When I picked Allie up from MDO on Thursday, they said that she hadn't taken a nap. So when we got home I asked her why she hadn't gone to sleep and she says, "Because I was talking"

She is her mother's daughter. Poor thing =)
